Overview
Cloudflare Queues is a managed queue that Aikeedo reaches over HTTP, so it works from any host. Each Aikeedo queue becomes a Cloudflare queue named with your prefix, such asaikeedo-default. The adapter creates the queues as needed, each with an HTTP pull consumer.
Cloudflare Queues is available on the Workers Free plan, with 10,000 operations a day and messages kept for 24 hours. The Workers Paid plan keeps messages for 14 days.
Configuration
1
Create an API token
In the Cloudflare dashboard, go to My Profile > API Tokens and create a custom token with the Account > Queues > Edit permission. Copy the token, and your Account ID from the dashboard’s overview page.
2
Enter the connection
Go to Settings → System → Queue adapters → Cloudflare Queues and enter the Account ID and API token. If you have already set up Cloudflare Browser Rendering under Settings → Integrations → Cloudflare, you can leave both empty to use that account. Its token then needs the Queues permission as well.
3
Test and enable
Turn on Status and press Save changes. Saving tests the connection first, and shows the service’s error if it fails. Then choose Cloudflare Queues on the Queue page.
Settings
Good to know
- API limits. Every check for jobs is a Cloudflare API request, which Cloudflare limits per token. The adapter leaves an empty queue alone for 5 seconds between checks.
- Free plan. Each check, add and delete counts toward the 10,000 daily operations. A job delayed longer than the plan keeps messages is lost.
- Counts only. The Queue page shows Cloudflare’s backlog count, which trails by a second or two.
